The official Spirit System manual has everything you need. That index page breaks down into four sections: Introduction, Mounting, Configuration, and Logging.
Here's a quick summary of what the system does beyond just loiter/RTL: Position Hold keeps the heli locked to a spot hands-free. Altitude Hold maintains constant altitude without collective input. Return to Home commands the model back from wherever it is. Geo-fence restricts the flying area. Automatic Landing brings the model down autonomously. HeliDirect On the hardware side, the v2 uses a latest-gen GNSS module running at 25Hz, supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou simultaneously, along with a 3-axis gyro, accelerometer, compass, and environmental sensors. Spirit System The v2 also adds a laser rangefinder for precision low-altitude measurement. One important config note: the modules are factory calibrated for the Czech Republic, so if you're operating outside of that region it's highly recommended to perform a new compass calibration — if the heli starts circling a spot instead of holding position, that's a clear sign compass calibration is needed.
